It is with great pleasure and excitement that I accept the position of Music Director and Conductor of the Norwalk Symphony. As the orchestra enters it’s 62nd year. I will strive to build upon the stated Mission of the NSO, which is first and foremost to enrich the community with inspired symphonic music. Enriching and inspiring are key words in the programming of every concert. The concerts are designed to be stimulating and enjoyable, with an element of discovery and excitement that will make the concertgoers look forward to the next one. Through our concerts, I hope to introduce you to music that you already know, and also to introduce you to new and exciting pieces that I know you will enjoy. During the next few years, I will also build upon the other half of the NSO mission - to enhance our appreciation of developing American composers and to nurture young and emerging artists. There is so much talent out there. We want to be able to bring you the best of the best and to help launch some promising young artists on the verge of major careers.

Over the next few years, I also hope to build and develop our educational outreach programs. It is my dream that eventually we will have programs, concerts, and fun activities for people of all ages and backgrounds. I want the community to know that the Norwalk Symphony is YOUR orchestra. The NSO belongs to its community and I am here to help serve your need for great music in this community. Some of the ways we hope to do this is through educational programs in the schools, outreach programs for young adults, lectures and presentations for seniors, community meetings with musicians and composers, family concerts, and civic/holiday celebrations. But most importantly, we are going to serve you by offering a music-going experience that should delight, surprise, intrigue, and tickle your fancy.

Join us this year as we take the community with us on a journey of discovery. It is a season you will not want to miss!
