…for your interest in becoming a VOLUNTEER for the Norwalk Symphony! We value your time and talent! Here is a brief description of where your help is needed and the time commitment involved:

AT THE CONCERT:

Greeting patrons, Will-Call ticket distribution, assist at Donation and Ticket Sales tables.
Ticket Ushers, Ticket Collectors, Program Distributors, and Customer Service Usher when needed.
(6 Concerts a year for 3-4 hours)

BEFORE AND AFTER THE CONCERT:

Hospitality! Set up and clean up for post-concert receptions. Set up tables, organize and replenish food and drink. Help prepare snacks for Orchestra members for the dress rehearsal.
(4 concerts a year for 1-2 hours)

IN THE COMMUNITY:

Be an ambassador for the NSO at the Chamber of Commerce, at community programs (e.g. Holiday Stroll).
(2-4 times a year for 1-2 hours)

IN EDUCATION:

Attend the “(Not) Just for Kids” programs in Norwalk, Wilton and New Canaan. Provide transportation for musicians when needed and help distribute information. (6 times a year 1-2 hours)
Assist in Ushering and Hosting for the Young Artist Festival. (Jan 28th, 4-5 hours)

AT THE OFFICE:

Help with regular mailings, stuff envelopes, attach labels.
Packet preparation for musicians.
Follow up phone calls to donors and volunteers.
Distributing brochures and flyers.
(About once a month for 1-2 hours)
